Day 3 Re-cap

Overtime! Double overtime!!! What a day! Boom!Shacka!Lacka! U-n-b-e-l-i-e-v-a-b-l-e!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you say, "Pandemonium!"

I thought I would have to apologize to Carole "Pat" Myrie for being so critical of her picks (...Xavier and Maryland in the championship). As it turns out, Xavier ALMOST shocked the world! I even found myself rooting for them in the second half. But...Ohio State was just too much for them in overtime. The Xavier loss was the first nail in Momma Myrie's coffin. When Maryland lost, that was the final nail. Rest-in-Peace Carole "Pat" Myrie. You're done. Now you have plenty of time to think about next year. Maybe you can go wherever Duke went after they lost.

Like I said yesterday, the only noise we might hear from Desiree would be if Maryland kept winning. (It's her alma mater.) Since they lost, all I can hear coming from Silver Springs, Maryland (where Desi lives) is crickets. If you listen closely, you can hear them too. Listen... chirp, chirp...chirp, chirp

Speaking of alma maters, Indiana only scored 13 points in the first half of their game against UCLA. I guess I should have known at that point. I can't decide what's worse...the years the Hoosiers don't make it to the tournament...or the years we make it and then get blown out. I'll have to think about this a little more... Hmmm... At least we made it interesting at the very end. Kinda...

This year, Jernie & Jordan have combined forces. Putting their heads together they've still only managed to win enough games to be in 19th place. Strange. I guess if you take a 5 year old brain and combine it with 9 year old brain, you still don't have much. Maybe next year, they'll let their guinea pig fill out their bracket. It probably won't hurt.

John "2smooth" Simms is still doing well. ...but Brandon Headroe is making a move. He's currently tied with "2smooth" for 1st place. Good job Brandon!

Not much (any) movement at the bottom of the standings. Jodi, Carl, J-dog and Desi...20th - 23rd respectively...still.

I'm assuming everyone saw my cousins lead their respective universities to the Sweet 16. AJ Graves, guard, from Butler and Antonio Graves, guard, from the University of Pittsburg. (See profiles below.)

If yesterday is any indication of how today will go, it should be another barnburner. Anyone on heart medication or taking blood pressure pills (Ma) should make sure you have 'em handy.

...and in case you didn't see it, I'm currently tied for 4th. Yes Baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes.
