Day 6 Recap - Plano Rules
And then there were two! Memphis vs. Kansas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hopefully, you can still hear me. I’m all the way down here in 26th place. Sad…I know. You have to excuse me though. I’m a little out of touch. I’m in Copenhagen, Denmark this weekend and was reminded of the games when I received an e-mail from Uncle Tommy…who was bragging about being in 4th place. Let me explain this to you, Uncle Tommy…4th place is just like 26th place…no trophy! Got that?
It looks like Bone’s first video has jinxed us all. I looks the trophy will reside in Plano, Texas for the next year. On Monday, we’ll find out if it will go to Big Tex (Robert) or Easy E. (Evan). I hope the kid wins. Come on Evan! Don’t let me down.

Day 5 Recap - Bye, Bye Sharolyn!

Day 4 Recap - When will Sharolyn Fall?
Greetings from the City of Lights! Yes, I’m in Paris this weekend…wish you were here. :-)
Yesterday, I received this note from “UKnow K” (Karyn):
“Looks like my family is doing quite well. ‘This is my year’ (Will Banks) is my nephew Will - tied for 1st. …and well ‘UKnow K’ is still rollin' , and winner, winner, chicken dinner…'adams1' (Keith) is now up there with me...........................where u at???”
Well Karyn…I’ll tell you where I am. I’m sitting COMFORTABLY in 13th place. Striking distance! …right where I wanna be. I’m hangin’ out with my nieces…just like last week. Hello Morgan. Hello Cam. Uncle Johnny loves you. I’m also re-uniting with my Uncle Tommy. Please don’t worry about us. We’re all fine. You just take care of you…and try not to fall apart in the next couple of weeks.
Now…to the important stuff… Can someone please tell me why/how “Momma’s House” (Sharolyn Headroe) is still in first place? [Note - I’ve sent a message to ESPN.com to see if there’s something wrong with the web-site. I’ll let everyone know if there’s a problem.] I have to be honest, I’m sick of looking at this picture of Sharolyn and Robert. I feel like they’re mocking us. That, along with the fact that “Little Tex” (Brandon) and “Easy E” (Evan) are in the top 9, is enough to make you sick. Will someone please step up and take them of the lead. PLEASE!
Jasen appears to be slipping… He’s down to 7th. Come on Jasen. It’s not a sprint…it’s a marathon. You need endurance to win this race. Hang in there little man.

Day 3 Recap - Plano, TX is STILL in the House!!
…and weekend 1 comes to a close.
Momma’s House (Sharolyn) is leading the pack after round 2! She’s starting to make me nervous. How about you? I keep thinking about Bone’s first video where he said, “Y’all don’t know nothin’ about basketball in Texas! Texas is a football state! Up here in Indiana, it’s all about the hoops, Baby!”…blah, blah, blah. Ummmm? Strange. Actually, it very strange considering he’s in 25th place…his wife (Jada) is in 21st place…and his daughters (Jernie & Jordan) are in 25th and 27th place (…and I think they all still live in Indiana). Obviously, they had a family meeting and created there brackets together. There’s no other way to explain why they’re all bringing up the rear. Bone, as a favor to all of us (please, please) produce another “funny” video. Perhaps this one can capture the true emotion of your household at this point in the tournament. I think it would be R E A L L Y funny this time. :-) Hang in there Lil” Brother…
Jordan, at least you have your sister (Jernie) with you now. Isn’t this fun? Next year, call your Uncle John to help you pick your teams. I can at least get you to the middle of the pack. Your daddy is too busy making videos!
One of the most consistent bracketeers this year is Jasen. Lookin’ good little man…but don’t start making room for the trophy just yet. There are a lot of games left to be played. I do promise to send you a picture of the trophy. Would you like that? :-)
Williams2 (Keynan) has worked his way up to tie for second. Welcome to the party, lil' cuz. I also see there’s another Ft. Worth player (Champ07 – Doris Smith) in the house. She’s slowly working her way up the ranks. My only advice to her is, “enjoy it now.” …and yes, I am referring to the trophy. I doubt (very seriously) that you’ll repeat. It could be another 20 years before you luck out again. Start looking for a UPS or FedEx. I expect the trophy to be mailed AS SOON AS you lose! So…take a few pictures (...send one to Jasen) and prepare to say goodbye. It was nice while it lasted.

You see, Uncle John made some bad choices and he’s gonna drop in the coming weeks. He picked Duke to win the National Championship…and they’ve already lost. :-) So…it’s not gonna get better for your Uncle John. Please be nice to me when I fall. :-(
Finally… JPhil (Jodi), perhaps you should have gotten a little coaching from Cam Jae or Wisemen (Carl). Just a friendly piece of advice… ‘Cause you’re not looking good right now. You’re sitting next to Bone. You should recognize him. He’s the one with the video camera. :-)

2008 Day 1 Recap
Hello All,
We’re off to the races! Big Shot Shooter, BIG TEX, and brothers NCPanther32 and Jasen are in the lead! A special congratulation goes to Little Jim (NCPanther32). He’s been in the pool for years and has never been in front…at any stage of the competition. Very good Jim… I’m proud of you…and your little brother. J
Also, a special shout out to the Headroe family in Plano, TX. Robert is tied for first place…Sharolyn and Evan are tied for 5th. Very impressive start…
